Adventurous overnight stay near Rotterdam

Rotterdam, the world port city, is just half an hour away from Family Resort Molenwaard. Head out to this young, dynamic metropolis with its remarkable history, striking architecture, trendy restaurants and food markets, renowned museums, and exciting festivals.

Voted Best City Centre in the Netherlands 2015–2017 and Best in Travel 2016 by Lonely Planet, Rotterdam is definitely worth a visit. After being bombed during World War II, the city reinvented itself. Rotterdam broke with the past and focused on modern architecture. The motto “light, air, and space” was groundbreaking at the time, and the city continues to surprise its visitors with creative new initiatives: from rooftop city farms to breweries in former warehouses.

Our adventurous tip for Rotterdam: the Euromast. In just 30 seconds, you’ll be standing 100 meters above the city. Enjoy the stunning 360-degree view of Rotterdam and its surroundings from the tallest viewing tower in the Netherlands. Want to go even higher? The Euroscoop, a rotating glass elevator, takes you all the way to the top 185 meters up.
